OUR SERVICES

Regulatory Compliance

DEPTH OF COVER
ANALYSIS & REPORTING

We provide depth of cover analysis and reporting services to help clients meet regulatory requirements and manage risk associated with shallow or exposed pipelines.

Using locating equipment and GPS mapping technology, we collect depth measurements at defined intervals along pipeline crossings, including environmentally sensitive areas such as waterways. Depending on site conditions, our crews access crossings using boats or by working in the water with appropriate equipment.

Each assessment includes a comprehensive reporting package consisting of geo-referenced depth measurements, detailed inspection forms, site photography, and pipeline crossing profile drawings showing pipeline position relative to ground elevation and water levels.

Aerial mapping and survey data are incorporated to provide a clear visual representation of the crossing, along with supporting datasets that allow for accurate analysis and long-term tracking.

All information is stored within our AbsoMap GIS platform, giving clients access to both current and historical records for compliance reporting, maintenance planning, and risk management.

These reports provide clear, actionable information to support regulatory submissions and help identify areas requiring attention before they become a concern.

Pipeline Inventory & Mapping

PIPELINE INVENTORY
& MAPPING

We provide pipeline inventory and mapping services to support regulatory compliance and improve the accuracy of underground facility records.

Using experienced field crews, we verify pipeline locations through a combination of existing datasets and on-site investigation. This includes cross-referencing pipeline registries, survey plans, historical records, and field observations to build a complete and accurate representation of underground infrastructure.

All collected data is managed within our AbsoMap GIS platform, allowing for centralized storage, visualization, and ongoing updates as new information becomes available.

This approach ensures that clients maintain a reliable and current inventory of their pipeline assets, supporting regulatory requirements, operational planning, and long-term asset management.

Accurate pipeline inventory data also improves the effectiveness of First Call screening and reduces the risk of damage during ground disturbance activities.

FACILITY LDAR
INSPECTIONS

We provide facility LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) inspection services to support regulatory compliance and reduce emissions from oil and gas infrastructure.

Using UAV systems equipped with infrared laser-based methane sensors paired with thermal imagery, we are able to efficiently inspect facilities and identify leaks that may not be visible through traditional methods.

Our LDAR program has been approved by Saskatchewan Energy and Resources (MER) under Alternative Fugitive Emissions Management Program (Alt-FEMP) requirements, allowing operators to incorporate UAV-based methane detection into their compliance programs.

This method allows for safe and effective inspection of equipment such as well sites, compressor stations, and processing facilities, including areas that may be difficult to access or hazardous for personnel.

Detected leaks are geo-referenced, documented, and classified to support reporting, prioritization, and corrective action in accordance with regulatory requirements. Ground-based follow-up using infrared detection equipment is performed where required to further investigate and confirm readings identified during aerial inspection.

By identifying leaks early, clients can reduce product loss, minimize environmental impact, and maintain compliance with evolving regulatory standards.

CALL
BEFORE
YOU DIG.

MAKE THE CALL.

Sask 1st Call is a “Call Before You Dig” location screening and notification service for contractors and customers who are planning to dig or excavate.

Calling Sask 1st Call will proactively alert the Sask 1st Call subscriber companies of plans to disturb the ground. Sask 1st Call will issue line locate request notifications to subscriber companies to ensure that underground facilities are clearly marked before work starts.

First Call organizations enhance safety to the public and digging community as well as reduce damage and associated costs to underground facilities.
