PIPELINE
RIGHT-OF-WAY
INSPECTIONS
We provide pipeline right-of-way inspections to monitor the condition of infrastructure and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Inspections are performed using UAV systems, allowing for efficient coverage of large areas while maintaining a clear view of the entire right-of-way. This approach improves visibility in difficult terrain and significantly reduces the time required compared to traditional ground-based methods.
In addition to visual inspection, we integrate methane detection using infrared laser-based sensors paired with thermal imagery, developed in alignment with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources (MER) requirements, allowing leaks to be identified during the same inspection.
During inspections, we assess:
- Vegetation conditions
- Signage presence and condition
- Evidence of trench sluffing or subsidence
- Potential pipeline exposure
- Methane leaks and anomalies
- General right-of-way integrity
All findings are documented and geo-referenced, providing clear records for reporting, maintenance planning, and regulatory compliance.
