Right-of-Way Inspection Services

PIPELINE
RIGHT-OF-WAY
INSPECTIONS

We provide pipeline right-of-way inspections to monitor the condition of infrastructure and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Inspections are performed using UAV systems, allowing for efficient coverage of large areas while maintaining a clear view of the entire right-of-way. This approach improves visibility in difficult terrain and significantly reduces the time required compared to traditional ground-based methods.

In addition to visual inspection, we integrate methane detection using infrared laser-based sensors paired with thermal imagery, developed in alignment with Saskatchewan Energy and Resources (MER) requirements, allowing leaks to be identified during the same inspection.

During inspections, we assess:

  • Vegetation conditions
  • Signage presence and condition
  • Evidence of trench sluffing or subsidence
  • Potential pipeline exposure
  • Methane leaks and anomalies
  • General right-of-way integrity

All findings are documented and geo-referenced, providing clear records for reporting, maintenance planning, and regulatory compliance.

Signage Installation

SIGNAGE
INSTALLATION

We provide signage installation services to ensure pipelines are properly marked at road crossings, fence lines, and other key locations.

Using a high-pressure water system, we efficiently create holes for signposts without the need for manual post driving. This method reduces physical strain on workers and minimizes the risk of contacting underground facilities during installation.

Paired with our underground locating capabilities, we are able to accurately position signage in relation to the pipeline right-of-way, ensuring proper placement and improved long-term reliability.

Compared to traditional methods, this approach improves safety, increases efficiency, and provides consistent, reliable installation results across a variety of ground conditions.

Proper signage installation plays a critical role in identifying pipeline locations and supporting safe operations along the right-of-way.
